Garden Party

This past summer I attended the Clothesline Arts Festival and came across an artist I simply HAD to share!  Michelle Masters creates magic by featuring greenery in her topiary art designs.  I absolutely adored everything she offered.  Meet Michelle Masters, in her own words {and make sure you stop over and check out her stuff!}

Living in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York, artist Michelle Masters left a promising career in computer graphic design in order to pursue her creative roots - painting. After a year of painting her love of gardening and growing things found their way to the paper and her first watercolor and ink topiary hat was created. Soon after many designs and collections grew but the first hat "Lady Lavender" has remained one of her most popular designs and is also featured as her business' identity. Michelle's clever images are clean, simple, uncluttered and well designed. The topiary line although whimsical and fun is based around a casual upscale style and is a perfect gift idea for nature, garden and animal lovers.

Some more of her wonder-filled creations:

Michelle's designs are available on Notecards, Linen Guest Towels, Lavender Sachets, Handcrafted Soaps, Limited Edition Prints and Pillows You can find them on her website: HERE

Whimsically Inspired

I am what you might call 'an old-school Mackenzie-Childs fan'.  I recently found some old trinkets I had acquired about a decade ago and decided to repurpose them into wearable art.... Here's what I came up with:

Brass Thistle Necklace
{The brass pendant was originally affixed to many of the company's trademark products as a makeshift logo}

Artisan Painted Red Wooden Canister Knob
{the pendant was originally a knob used on canister lids,
like the one shown}

I have them for sale this week on ebay.
You can find them here:
